The competition is organized by the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE). The competition will be held on 5 to 9 September 2011 in ECOPA (Ogasayama Sports Park) Japan.

The launching is done in Koesnadi Hardjasoemantri House Cultural Center, University of Gadjah Mada (UGM), in Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta on Tuesday (7/19/2011) by Rector Prof. Ir Sudjarwadi, MSc, PhD.

Milky Way is a formula car made in the Milky Way GMU team which was selected as the sole representative of Indonesia who will compete in the international competition.
