Jakarta-Pembalap formula wanita Indonesia satu-satunya Alexandra Asmasoebrata, akan mencicipi kerasnya Formula Abarth dan Formula 2.0. Ajang ini merupakan pertama kalinya di benua Asia, Alexandra pun optimistis bakal menjadi juara umum.

"Target saya menjadi juara umum pada ajang ini dan bisa mengikuti program dari Ferrari, untuk tiga pembalap terbaik. Semoga tidak ada halangan untuk mewujudkannya," kata Alexandra Asmasoebrata di Jakarta, Sabtu (19/2/2011).

Alexandra Asmasoebrata kini bergabung bersama PS Racing yang dipimpin oleh Pekka Saarinen yang telah menjuarai Formula Renault empat kali. Untuk Formula Abarth ini, team PS Racing akan mengirimkan tiga pembalap. Namun untuk saat ini yang terpilih baru dua orang. Pembalap pertama dari Jepang, dan pembalap kedua adalah Alexandra.

"Dan saya sangat berharap akan muncul pembalap dari Indonesia yang ingin bergabung dengan saya demi membawa nama bangsa kita, tanpa harus saling menjatuhkan," ucap Andra.

Namun layaknya seperti pembalap lainnya Andra pun merasa gugup karena ajang ini ajang pertama dirinya di Formula Abarth.

"Yang menjadi kendala saya saat ini, mungkin pada mobil balap dari Abarth dan adaptasi dengan tim baru saya. Karena ini masih sangat baru untuk saya semuanya jadi saya masih harus beradaptasi, tapi saya yakin ini tidak akan berlangsung lama," ujarnya.

Pembalap wanita cantik yang mengawali karirnya melalui gokart ini, akan memulai latihannya pada ajang Formula Renault mendatang.

"Mobil ini seperti mobil A1, tidak boleh dites terlebih dahulu. Alhasil saya baru bisa menggunakan mobil formula dari Abarth ini pada bulan Mei. Oleh sebab itu saya akan memulai latihan pada ajang Formula 2.0 Renault, yang akan berlangsung enam seri itu pun kalau tidak bentrok dengan Formula Abarth," ujar Andra.

Untuk lawan terberat, Andra merasa pembalap yang berasal dari Eropa. Karena untuk pembalap Eropa ajang ini merupakan ajang yang kedua kalinya setelah yang diselenggarakan di Eropa.

"Sudah tentu mereka memiliki persiapan yang lebih baik karena mereka memiliki pengalaman yang lebih banyak menggunakan Formula Abarth ini. Sedangkan untuk sirkuit yang paling saya khawatirkan adalah sirkuit yang berada di Mongolia karena saya belum pernah menjajal Sirkuit tersebut," ujarnya.
