Featuring improved handling via a lowered, more aggressively damped suspension, and more power via a revised twin-turbocharged 600-bhp W-12 engine, the new Speed version of the GTC just shown at Detroit makes a bold statement. Just how bold? Well, Bentley says the nine percent increase in power is good for a 0-60 mph time of only 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph with the top down (kids — and especially toupee wearers — don't try this at home).

Cosmetic differences to the Speed include a dark-tint to sections of the front grille and 20-in. alloy wheels (standard chrome is a no-cost option), a new rear spoiler design, drilled alloy foot pedals and a three-spoke sport steering wheel.

The entire Continental GTC range also sees some updates as well including a more upright grille with a larger, lower air intake, new reduced-friction shocks for improved ride quality, retuned power steering with better driver feedback, new exterior and interior color choices and options including a radar-based adaptive cruise control and carbon ceramic brakes (available exclusively with the 20-in. wheel package).
