This is a blown GT500 Shelby putting out 750HP. This was filmed out the front of the Shelby Factory in Las Vegas where they do all the mods to the Mustangs. This is definetly one of the best looking GT500's I have ever seen as I have said for every video of mine because I only film the cars that I think are really nice and that would please you guys.
It's something like trying to drive the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 on a roller-coaster, only there are no steel tracks to keep you from slithering off the pavement and ending up in a flaming heap of 540-horsepower Mustang.
You can't even see where you're going, really. Hard on it, the GT500's rear tires begin spinning just as you can see nothing but sky in the windshield. You're on top of the hump at the entrance to Infineon Raceway's Turn 6, and as your stomach and both right-side tires go weightless, you start a long, long dive to the left, sliding sideways all the way down the hill and around the 180-degree corner.
The Shelby GT500 is so torqued up with the cornering force from the low-profile 19-inch tires and the drive from the supercharged V8 that you can practically hear the welds popping in the chassis. But something is different this time — palms are not slick with sweat, tires are not threatening to let go at the most inopportune moment and steering left in order to go right is a joy and not a reflex of self-preservation.
The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 gets 2 mpg more on the EPA highway cycle this year. The Ford engineers are really proud of this. But every time we make another lap and slide down Turn 6, we have our doubts that fuel economy is what this car is about.
Serving Our Inner Adolescent We're behaving like adults as the Ford engineers tell us all about the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500, even as we hear a couple of the cars making shake-down runs on the quarter-mile strip at Infineon Raceway a few hundred feet away. And in many ways, the GT500 itself is trying to act more like an adult, casting aside the muscle-bound character of the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500.
As the Ford people tell us, they started with the limited-production 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR, the exclusive (1,700 examples built) and revenue-enhancing (MSRP $79,995) Mustang produced last year. And aside from a few fewer Shelby badges (the KR had many to spare), the GT500 is like the KR in almost every way, except it's built at the Mustang plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, rather than at the Shelby facility in Las Vegas.
You can tell as soon as you open the new GT500's hood, complete with hot-air extractors. The supercharged and intercooled DOHC 5.4-liter V8 with its truck-style iron block is still in place, but now it carries a conical air filter in its own sealed cold-air box behind the left-side headlight, an innovation that increases airflow while resisting power-sapping heat soak. For the GT500, this new cold-air intake required the migration of the iconic Cobra badge on the grille from the left side to the right side.

Check out more Reviews at: http://compactmotoring.blogspot.com/ Out of the ashes of the NSX sprints the Honda HSV-010. The new NSX is armed with a 3.4L V-8 engine with 496 hp and 289 lbs of torque. This is in contrast to the reported V-10 that was said to be planned for the production model.
Slated for a 2010 arrival in Super GT the HSV-010 will be entered into the GT500 class. Perhaps success here will lead Honda to bring the car back into production form.

Gijs records a white Ferrari 458 Challenge at the Ferrari dealer Munsterhuis in Hengelo, The Netherlands. This is probably one of the very first 458 Challenge's that's delivered to a dealer, and it's the first one in the Netherlands. They got it just yesterday and today I went down to the dealer to see it. It's really cool in real life! It looks really racy and it sits very low. Unfortunately I wasn't able to record the sound, but I thought the looks of the car were good enough to upload this video. Which car would you take? The red F40 or the white 458? Hope you like it! After numerous official pictures made somewhere in a studio we can now show you the first live pictures of the 2012 Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador made at the event hall of the Geneva Motor Show 2011. The guys from Autogespot sneaked into the main hall where all car makers are building their stands for the event.
At the Lamborghini stand they spotted the Grigio Estoque colored version of the brand new supercar parked next to the Blanco Isis Aventador. We must say it looks wonderful in real live, much better than on any picture seen before.
A member at Autoblog.nl managed to sneak into the hall where Alfa Romeo will display their latest vehicles. One of the sports cars on display was a Fluid Metal Alfa Romeo 4C Concept.
In recent months the project has been refined and enriched with technical contents to enhance the dynamic excellence of the Alfa 4C Concept. Vehicle weight is confirmed at around 850kg, the engine delivering more than 200bhp and a power to weight ratio less than 4kg per hp -- bringing it into supercar territory.
The power of the Alfa Romeo 4C GTA Concept comes from a 265-horsepower 1.750 TBi engine mated to a TCT twin dry clutch. The 4C goes from 0 to 100km/h in just five seconds and up to a maximum speed of 250km/h.
ⒷⒺⓈⓉⓃⒺⓉⓌⓄⓇⓀ❶ After a two year absence from the international scene, Bertone returned to the Geneva Motor Show, unveiling the Alfa Romeo Pandion Concept car: an aggressive yet beautiful coupé designed as a tribute to Alfa Romeos' one hundred year anniversary. The Alfa Romeo Pandion Concept: an extreme and controversial sports car in typical Bertone fashion. The size of the concept car (4620 mm in length, 1971 mm wide, 1230 mm high, 2850 mm wheelbase) offers a compact sports car external dimensions with a large sports car interior feeling, all powered by a 4.7 litre, 450 CV 8-cylinder Alfa Romeo engine. The Alfa Romeo Pandion Concept is the first car produced by Mike Robinson in his new role as Design and Brand Director at Bertone. A pure 'dream car', the Alfa Romeo Pandion Concept takes its rightful place as a member of Bertone's historic Alfa Romeo family: cars that have always been style icons, influencing the history of the automobile and Italian craftsmanship in their excellent design quality, proving themselves to be undisputed benchmarks for the entire world of car design. The name comes from the animal world, as Pandion Haliaetus is the scientific name for an Osprey: a sea hawk that nests and lives in coastal areas. The designers, led by Mike Robinson, have drawn inspiration from the wings of this predator to invent the spectacular door opening mechanisms, and from the hawks' facial markings to project the traditional Alfa family feeling into the next era of design.
A concept super sport car. Too bad it is not for production.
According to one of our viewers: "It is named after the 5 different racing "Birdcages" models in the late 50's, early 60's, that are all based on an intricate multi-tubular frame concept.
They contained about 200 chro-moly steel tubes welded together, hence the nickname "Birdcage" This method of construction provided a more rigid and, at the same time, lighter chassis than other sports cars of the time." --- elbatemano commented on Maserati Birdcage

Mazda Shinari Concept debuts new face of the brand in style! Looking at the exterior, it's easy to tell that the Shinari shares little in common with Mazda's recent designs, although like almost every sedan built today, it has similarities to vehicles from other brands. It's almost as if the Aston Martin Rapide and a Mazda RX-8 cued up some Barry White, enjoyed a romantic evening and the Shinari came out nine months later. That's obviously a compliment, as the Rapide is a stunningly beautiful car and the RX-8 -- even this far into its lifecycle -- is still a looker. However, the Shinari has a much more complicated design, with more intersecting lines and a surface area that's constantly moving and changing depending on the lighting. While the exterior is certainly a departure from previous designs, the interior is perhaps the most surprising aspect of the Shinari. Easily the most attractive and stylish interior we've seen in a Mazda (concept or not), it's swathed in authentic aluminum trim, leather-covered surfaces and double stitching at nearly every turn and twist. We're again drawn to the Aston Martin Rapide comparison, especially with the design of the deep rear bucket seats. The gauges, modeled after popular watch designs, up the class quotient and the massive glass roof helps make the interior feel open and airy. But more than the tech and the attention to detail, it's the Shinari's overall cohesion that impresses the most. Unlike other pie-in-the-sky concepts, the Sinari is a smart, well executed styling exercise that should be a solid design platform for future models. The muscular lines should translate well into a production car, and customers will always appreciate a more sophisticated interior. We sure like the sound of a Mazda RX-9!

The BMW Z4 GT3, which was officially launched and completed its first test drives at the start of March, is already enjoying great popularity among BMW Motorsport customers. The first cars have been delivered to private BMW teams, who will prepare them for use in various national and international championships.
"The feedback on the BMW Z4 GT3 is extremely positive," says BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. "This sports car rounds off our product range, and offers drivers and teams the opportunity to compete in championships in accordance with the GT3 regulations - such as the FIA GT3 European Championship, the International GT Open or the ADAC GT Masters - as well as at 24-hour endurance races." In addition, the BMW M3 GT2, the BMW 320si WTCC, which complies with Super2000 regulations, and the close-to-production BMW M3 GT4 are also available to customer teams from all over the world at BMW Motorsport Distribution.
The production model of the BMW Z4 is already impressive: with its elongated bonnet, flared wheel arches, long wheel base and narrow projections, the car boasts an unmistakable appearance. The two-seater provided BMW Motorsport engineers with a good basis for developing a close-to-production GT3 racing car.
The largest difference between production and racing car can be found under the bonnet: while the production version of the BMW Z4 is driven by a six-cylinder engine, the GT3 car is powered by a 4.0-litre eight-cylinder engine similar to the unit used in the BMW M3 GT2. This powerful heart produces over 480 bhp. Its excellent performance characteristics and good torque curve make the base engine from the production version of the BMW M3 predestined for use in motorsport.

Test run: Rolls Royce Olympus at S&S Turbines open-air test cell. One of the largest turbojet engines, about 40 thousand Hp in the industrial version shown here.
Looking in the front at startup, you can clearly see the freshly cleaned elements of the low-pressure compressor:
First are the struts, which hold the front main bearing firmly in place. The LP rotating shaft is supported by this bearing.
Second, you see the copper-colored inlet guide vanes. On many engines these are able to move, but in the Olympus they are fixed.
Then the blades of the first stage of the turning compressor shaft. They are made of solid titanium alloy, and it took 2 days to hand polish them.
Next, the first stage of compression is made complete by stator vanes, which are directly behind the spinning blades.
The Olympus is the engine used in the Concorde, and the Vulcan Bomber. Both used four Olympus engines, each with an afterburner. This engine does not have an afterburner. This engine is used to generate electricity. A lot of it!

Hey! This is my first Rolls Royce Ghost video, and my first one in the wild (Monaco, of course)! I couldn't have found a better one myself: pure white and with nice russian plates (filled with 8s). You can see it driving around and then a detailed walkaround of the 480,000 euros jewel. I know you saw that LP640, but that's for later hehe! Back to the RRR (Russian Rolls Royce) : the owner kept driving it around Monaco all the time, however I only managed to get that little glimpse of footage you see in the video, around the casino! :)

We head out to Mojave Air & Space Port with the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini LP560-4, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren & Bentley Continental SuperSports to see if we can conquer the Mt. Everest of motoring - The Big Two. 200 Miles Per Hour!
Editor-At-Large Arthur St. Antoine "escapes" to Las Vegas and beyond with three German supercars - the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the 2010 Audi R8 V10 and the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo - in search of "the perfect road".
More confirmation that Audi will be taking the Quattro model to production has surfaced recently.
According to a recent report the Quattro Concept was spotted with design-studio license plates on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. The car was being escorted to a photo shoot by the California Highway Patrol.
When questioned Audi employees let it slip that the car was, indeed, headed to production.
The result of the video shoot is this video fully edited.
The Volkswagen Aqua is a futuristic hovercraft concept created by Yuhan Zhang, a 21 year old designer from China. Yuhan just graduated with honors from Xihua University with a degree in Industrial Design. Currently she's in the process of selecting a Transportation Design course to further her studies.
The Volkswagen Aqua is designed to cope with the wide variety of terrain which covers China. From the lakes, rivers and coastal waters, to the roads, wetlands and snow and ice. The concept was shortlisted in the CDN Car Design Awards China, based on the brief entitled simply; "Chinese off-road vehicle" by Volkswagen.
Like most hovercraft, the Volkswagen Aqua uses more than one engine. The primary motor, which is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, is used to drive the main fan which inflates the skirt around the vehicle and raises the Aqua just above the ground. The fans at the rear of the vehicle are powered by individual electric motors to provide forward thrust and directional control.
The styling of the Volkswagen Aqua is extremely clean and simple. There's very little clutter to the lines, except perhaps at the rear due to the quartet of fans. The interior has room for two people, and features a similar minimalist vibe as the exterior.
Perhaps our only area of concern is with how you actually enter the vehicle. See that small round hatch at the rear of the vehicle, the one located where the rear window would normally be? That's your one and only door.
I sit in the new Lamborghini Aventador and get to film the gauges, then I flip open the Start/Stop Engine button, and use the ejector style handle to open and close the scissor doors!
